Chubut, Neuquen: 01. - 05.05.2010

We decided right. Argentina greeted us with steel blue skies and even the temperatures that reached 25°C didn’t really make us believe it was fall. But the trees didn’t let any doubt come up. It seems like they had a competition on who is the most colorful.

Santa Cruz: 10. – 20.04.2010

We arrived once more in Argentina and after some night’s cold as ice we were looking for some warmth. We tried our luck on the east coast and drove the last part of the Ruta 40 towards Rio Gallegos to fill our Fridge. Then it went on north. 

Tierra del Fuego:  22. – 29.03.2010

There we were at the end of the American Continent, Tierra del Fuego or Fireland. The name comes from the natives; they did not wear clothing all year long. Instead they carried fire all over the place, to keep them warm, even in their canoes. Just the thought of it left us freezing we wore cap, scarf, gloves as well as the warmest jacked we had and it was not even winter yet.

Neuquen, Chubut, Santa Cruz: 06. – 17.03.2010

We can hardly believe it ourselves, since already one year we are cruising towards the horizon, so we think it’s about time to have a little technical review;  In our first 365 days we made 10 Countries insecure and drove for it 59’801,8 Kilometer  (37’167.06 Miles). To do so we burned 8’152.013 Liters (2156.617 Galons) Diesel, that cost us on average 78 Rappen (76 Cent US).

Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Neuquen: 21.02. – 05.03.2010

Finally we found it again; the never ending distances, the peacefulness, the quietness and the breathtaking nature, that we have missed for so long. However not every stop in the Pampa was planed, but now from the beginning.

Many things we wanted to do in our last week in Buenos Aires. Besides the excitement was huge, because on Friday, the third of our bunch was supposed to join us again. But it all came different.

So here we are in the center of Buenos Aires. Anxious to see what this pulsating town, the capital of Argentina with about 13 Million inhabitants has to offer for us.
